JCHS 2010 VARSITY AND JV SCHEDULES (REVISED 8/30)
Click below for the 2010 Lady Gladiator varsity and JV game schedules. The Lady Gladiators will play as
part of Region 7-AAAA sub-region "B" for the 2010 season. In all, 11 teams are in the Region with 6 of them
assigned to sub-region "B". In addition to JCHS, the other sub-region "B" schools are Chattahoochee, Creekview,
Forsyth Central, Lambert, and South Forsyth. Along with Johns Creek, Creekview and Lambert are moving up from
AAA while Chattahoochee and South Forsyth are dropping down from AAAAA. The Lady Gladiators will play 10 games
within the Region in a home/home series with each sub-region "B" team. The season will culminate with the Region
7-AAAA tournament the first week of October. The regular season champions from each of Sub-Regions A and B will
automatically qualify for the state tournament and will play each other to determine who gets the top seed from
the Region. The remaining teams in the Region will participate in a double-elimination tournament in order to
determine the remaining two teams that will advance to the state tournament as the #3 and #4 seeds. Click below

2010 REGION 7-AAAA TOURNAMENT FORMAT RELEASED (ADDED 2/20)
Region 7-AAAA has been divided into sub-regions for 2010 play with 5 teams in sub-region "A" and 6 teams in sub-region
"B". Johns Creek along with Chattahoochee, Creekview, Forsyth Central, Lambert, and South Forsyth comprise sub-region "B".
Four (4) teams from Region 7-AAAA will advance to the 1st round of the GHSA state softball playoffs in October as determined
by the following format. The sub-region "A" and "B" winners each receive an automatic spot in the state playoffs. These two
teams will face each other in a best 2 of 3 series at the conclusion of the regular season. The winner of this series is
awarded the #1 seed from Region 7-AAAA and the loser is awarded the #2 seed. The remaining two (2) seeds to the state
playoffs will be determined by an 8-team Region 7-AAAA double elimination format tournament. Prior to the start of the
Region tournament, the #5 and #6 teams in sub-region "B" as determined by the regular season standings will play a single
game to determine which team will participate in the Region tournament. The losing team does not qualify for the Region
tournament and their regular season concludes at that time. The 8 teams are then seeded according to regular season finish
(sub-region "A" seeds #2, #3, #4, and #5; sub-region "B" seeds #2, #3, #4, and #5) and are placed in the double elimination
tournament bracket in a formula determined by the Region. The winning and runner-up teams from the double elimination Region
tournament are then awarded the #3 and #4 seeds respectively from Region 7-AAAA to the state playoffs. Click below for a

Buford tournament where JCHS went 4-0 overall to capture their division. At the conclusion of the 2010 sub-region schedule, the
Lady Gladiators will face off with top teams from the area in the Milton tournament in an effort to get ready for the 7-AAAA region
tournament that starts the following week. Tournament schedules will be posted as soon as they are available.
